This award was introduced in 2022 in order to recognise the outstanding sporting achievements of students within our zone.

The Maitland Zone PSSA Sportsperson of the Year recognises a student who has demonstrated excellent skills and ability through the representative sports pathways.  This individual has been selected in at least one Hunter PSSA team and consistently displays outstanding commitment, sportsmanship and attitude in their sport endeavours.
